Frequently Asked Questions
2025 Great Futures Gala & Auction
Friday, October 3, 2025
What is the Club 206?
Club 206 is the 1920s-inspired theme for this year's Great Futures Gala & Auction. This event is Boys & Girls Clubs of King County's largest fundraising event of the year, with a goal of raising $1M to support Club youth. Together, we’ll celebrate Club kids, teens, and staff by investing in mental wellness programming and culturally-relevant experiences for Club youth.
What is the format of this year's event?
Our event will be held in-person at the Hyatt Regency Seattle. Anyone can view and bid in our Online Silent Auction beginning on Friday, September 26th. We do not plan to have a livestream of the event. Videos shown at the event will be posted online afterward.
What is the impact of this event?
When you support Boys & Girls Clubs of King County, you’re supporting a community hub where youth, regardless of their zip code, background, or ability to pay, can discover who they are and who they’re capable of becoming. Our innovative programs empower youth to excel in school, become active community members, and lead healthy, productive lives. With 33 locations in every nook and cranny of King County, we are literally right here in your backyard, serving 1,800 youth every day.
What should I wear?
Dress in whatever makes you feel great and ready to have a fun night. 1920s-themed party attire is encouraged! We'll have a selection of 1920s-style accessories available for sale at the event if you'd like to add extra flair.
Is there a hotel discount available?
Yes! When booking a room at the Hyatt, enter Special Offer Code SEASOC to receive a discounted rate. Discount amount and availability may vary.
What if I have access requirements or dietary restrictions?
Boys & Girls Clubs of King County strives to host accessible, inclusive events. To request an accommodation (including dietary restrictions), tell us how we can help in the "Special Accommodations" section when purchasing tickets. We will follow up with you to confirm. If you have already purchased tickets, or have specific questions, please contact us as soon as possible, but no later than Thursday, September 25th. Advance notice is necessary to arrange for accessibility needs.
Can I volunteer at the event?
Yes! It takes a village to make the gala a success. Volunteer opportunities are posted here.
If I can’t attend in the event, how can I participate?
The online silent auction is open to everyone! It will open on Friday, September 26 and close on Friday, October 3rd. At past events, we've had winners from around the country! Alternatively, you can make a contribution today to fuel Great Futures for Club youth.
Can my company get involved?
Yes! We would love to partner with you. To learn more about our partnership packages, please contact Donna Romanick, Director of Institutional Giving.
What about health and safety?
We kindly ask that you stay home if you have COVID, flu, or are feeling unwell in any way. We encourage COVID self testing prior to the event to keep our community safe and healthy. Face masks are welcome; please respect each guest's decision to wear or not wear a mask. This is the perfect time to make sure your COVID and flu vaccinations are up-to-date.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you purchase tickets and are unable to attend, we are happy to issue you a tax-deductible donation receipt for the full amount of your tickets. You may also transfer your tickets to a friend. Guest substitution requests should be made in writing to events@positiveplace.org no later than September 26th. Refunds will be issued only in extenuating circumstances, less a $50 processing fee.
