Great Futures Gala & Auction 2022 FAQs
What is the Great Futures Gala & Auction?
Great Futures Gala & Auction, formerly known as Kids Auction, is Boys & Girls Clubs of King County's largest fundraising event of the year! Together, we’ll celebrate Club kids, teens, and staff by investing in high-quality experiences for all youth.
What will this year's event look like?
Our event will be live and in-person at The Westin Seattle. The event will adhere to health and safety recommendations set forth by the CDC, as well as state/local/venue requirements, at the time of the event. Any health or safety requirements for the event or guests will be communicated before September 30th.
How do I request accommodations for the event?
Boys & Girls Clubs of King County is committed to providing universal access to our events. Please enter your accommodation needs (including meal restrictions) in the "Special Accommodations" section when purchasing tickets. If you have already purchased tickets, or have specific questions, please contact Melissa Pederson as soon as possible. Advance notice is necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs.
If I can’t participate in the event, can I make a donation instead?
Thank you! We appreciate your partnership. You can make your secure gift today by clicking "Donate" above.
Can my company get involved?
Yes! We would love to partner with you. To learn more about our partnership packages, please contact Melissa Pederson, Director of Institutional Giving.
Will there be an opportunity to participate virtually?
Anyone can view and bid on silent auction items online, which will be begin on Monday, October 10. Due to the variable timing of a live auction program, we do not plan to have a livestream of the event. However, certain portions of the event will be recorded and videos will be posted online after the event.
What is the impact of this event?
At Boys & Girls Clubs of King County, we believe our whole community benefits when all youth can reach their full potential. With generous community support, this annual fundraiser makes quality youth development programming, new opportunities, and powerful mentorship available to approximately 2,000 kids and teens per day in the Greater Seattle area. Additionally, Great Futures Gala & Auction is a powerful source of funding for program fee scholarships. This year, your support will allow us to distribute $1.1 million in financial aid to Club families for program, athletic, and summer camp fees.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you purchase tickets and are unable to attend, we are happy to issue you a donation receipt for the full amount of your tickets. You may also transfer your tickets to a friend. Guest substitution requests should be made in writing to events@positiveplace.org no later than October 7th. Refunds will be issued only in extenuating circumstances, less a $50 processing fee.
